Ghana, with a population exceeding 33 million and an 86% electrification rate, faces challenges in maintaining a reliable fuel supply for its power stations, impacting its economy and industries. Recognizing the importance of energy efficiency (EE), Ghana committed to a 20% improvement in industrial facilities by 2030 through its NDC. This Ghana's Industrial Energy Efficiency Readiness project successfully trained 35 national EE consultants in ISO 50001 compliant Energy Management System (EnMS) and enabled energy savings of up to 9% average through Initial pipeline of 10 industrial EE projects. This readiness grant is valued at USD 533,165 with an implementation period of 30 months.
